From next year on, the port is undertaking a proactive approach to preserving biodiversity, by “protecting” birds and participating in the ecological restoration of Mediterranean inshore grounds.
(inside our port)
As regards land section, we will install nesting boxes throughout the port, for the conservation of species such as the Sardinian warbler, the common swift or the common tern …
For the submarine section, we will install several “Biohut” (biodiversity huts). A Fixed or floating modular system that provides shelter and food to young fish entering the harbour.
Our motivation:
We are becoming increasingly aware of the impact our lifestyle has on nature.
We wish to restore or improve the ecological functions of these natural environments while supporting related economical activities.
