The port is now equipped with 2 “seabins” that can filter up to 25 000 litres of water per hour. Discrete, silent and located on the quay 50 and 32, the invention of the 2 Australian surfers (Peter Ceglinski and Andrew Turton. Sea video below) is distributed in France by the company Poralu.

This equipment enables to recover waste floating at the surface of the water, (of up to 20 L) micro plastic, fragments of polystyrene as well as 2 millimetres particles. The system has been successfully tested for 1 year in the port of la Grande Motte, in the department of Hérault.
